StatSheet is now projecting Florida to be a three seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Gators are, at this point, on track for an automatic bid, but they won't need to win their conference tournament as they're the #13 team in the AP Poll and sit at #11 in the StatSheet StatRank. They have a 24-6 overall record and a 14-4 record in the SEC.
Over the last four games, Florida chalked up wins against Vanderbilt and Alabama but also suffered losses to RPI #51 Kentucky and RPI #54 Tennessee.
Florida is average against top competition, with a 13-6 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 4-3 record against the RPI Top 50 and a 2-2 record against AP ranked teams. The Gators boast four quality wins including RPI #30 Missouri, AP #12 Marquette, RPI #32 Middle Tennessee State, and AP #22 Wisconsin with no bad losses to speak of.
The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Alabama (20-11, 12-6 SEC, StatRank #63), La Salle (21-8, 11-5 A-10, StatRank #41), Baylor (18-13, 9-9 Big 12, StatRank #61), and Ole Miss (23-8, 12-6 SEC, StatRank #56).
